Asked by Unregistered (Female; 51; USA ) on Mon 18, Aug 2008 08:29pm :

can carbidopa alone be used to treat RLS or should it be taken with Levodopa? I was recently diag nosed with this and my MD prescribed carbidopa, but everything I am reading mentions levodopa. Is it only required to treat parkinsons.

Hi, How are you? Yes you are right carbidopa has to be combined with levodopa for treatment of RLS just like in parkinsons disease. Please discuss this with your MD. Take care!
