small hard bump that hurts to the touch on the side of my vagina

	i have a small red bump on the outside of my vagina - what could it be? it hurts to the touch - i have no fever or aches and pains of any other sort

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Thu 17, Jul 2008 08:52am: Hi, How are you? Is it like a blister? Most of the vaginal bumps are nothing to worry about as they can be easily treated. Most likely it is a sebaceous cyst. The other possibility is genital herpes which causes blisters, which eventually turn crusty. I would advise you to please get yourself examined by a dermatologist. Do keep us posted.
