what would cause suddon onset of incontinence...without warning and unable to stop it? recently started cymbalta, discontinuing effexor.

Hello ptmsw, Since the mechanism of action of duloxetine is believed to be related to enhanced urethral closure forces there is risk of acute urinary retention and incontinence.You need to discuss this with your physician and may need to switch to another option.
