	Answer by Dr.Kokil Mathur (doctor) on Mon 09, Nov 2009 11:22pm: Hi Welcome to the AMD forum! Irrespective of where you are from, white clouds in abdomen area on X-ray indicate gas and even bowel. This means the intestines and colon were not empty when X-ray was taken. Generally the abdominal X-ray is taken empty stomach after whole night of fasting. Charcoal tablets are given to absorb gas. A mild laxative is given to clear the bowels. If the preparation is not done, white clouds are seen as X-rays do not pass fully. Hope this helps.Take care!
