My 10 year old started breaking out 4 weeks ago about 1x a week. A friend of mine is a doctor, ( not my childs dr ) and he called it contact dermatitis. I had put solarcane on a sunburn. Since then it is now worse it is almost daily. I have not changed detergent, soap, or shampoo. It was only after being outside for more than 4 hours now it is even if he does not go out. It looks kind of like blisters and if I do not give him benedryl or put caladryl lotion on it soon after it appears it connects together and makes whelps and they itch. It is normally gone when he gets up the next moring but then returns that afternoon. Should I have him tested for allergies or just keep giving him benedryl or clartin otc?
