infant breathing question not sure what to do to make her feel better

my 6 week old is moving her tongue around in a weird way, is a bit stuffy and her breathing is slightly labored. How can I make her more comfortable

Hi, It is unclear to me, how you think the child is moving the tongue in a weird way? Children gather control of their muscles over time and till that time, they may not be too sure how much degree and power is to be executed. If the child has a stuffy mouth and chest and has difficulty in breathing, then there is a cause for alarm and should be examined at the earliest. There may be many reasons such as a foreign body, infections, swellings, etc, which may require immediate attention lest the child may not be able to get the requisite air. Please take the child to her pediatrician and get her examined for this disorder. Let us know if you may have other queries.
