	Answer by Dr Veena, MD (doctor) on Sat 19, Dec 2009 03:01am: Hi, Cystitis(inflammation of the bladder), causes burning micturition, increased frequency, urgency, blood in urine etc. If cystitis is left untreated it can lead to chronic cystitis or cause ascending infection causing damage to the kidneys.
