Dear Doctor,
Currently, I am in the 20th week of my pregnancy. During my 18th week, I had a sudden flow of bright red bleeding from the
vagina. I was asked to go for Ultrasound scan, blood tests and internal examination of the vagina.
The diagnosis was:
Low lying placenta partially covering the os (Placenta Previa). My CBC reports indicated that I am anaemic with haemoglobin
levels at 9.90. Others tests that were below level were RBC, PCV, M.C.H, M.C.H.C. The differential count of neutrophils,
lymphocytes and monocytes were above required levels. Results of the Prothrombin test were 15.0 seconds and INR value 1.07.
My doctor has advised me complete bed rest for another 2 months. I would like to have your second opinion based on the above
findings.
