I have accidently given my four year old 60000 IU/day calcirol granules for 10days. I realized my mistake and stopped. He seems to be fine . Is the dosetoxic? How long should I be on alert? For what symptoms?

Hi, cacirol granules contains vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol and is given for the vitamin D deficiency rickets. I agree with you that the dose you have given is quite high. There are certain signs for overdose like lethargy, vomiting, hypertension and nephrocalcinosis. I suggest you to consult with your paediatrician. Thanks.
