Hi,
The symptom of cough which is unresponsive to cough medications; along with wheezing may be due to Asthma.
Asthma patients may only experience symptoms in response to triggers occasionally. Some patients with asthma
present primarily with coughing, and in the late stages of an asthma attack, air motion may be so severely
impaired that no wheezing may be heard. The onset of the attack may be sudden, with a sense of constriction
in the chest, as breathing becomes difficult and wheezing occurs. Please consult a pulmonologist or a chest
physician for complete examination, diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
