Left Abdominal pain/cramps and swelling

	Asked by belkys1268 (Female; 40 years old, considerably overweight, left kidney was removed 5 years ago. Before kidney removal had 3 surgeries and 2 extracorporeal litotripcia, due to Renal stones and litiasis. ; Relevant drugs:None ) on Thu 19, Nov 2009 10:02am :
	Hello, 2 or 3 weeks ago I started feeling pain/cramps-like bubble air- on my abdominal left side, going down to my middle back. After my left kidney was removed my left side abdomen seems a little swollen sometimes but during these few last days I feel cramp-like pains (it comes ang goes)I sometimes have to put pressure on it and keep standing, can't walk. Haven't had any nauseas or vomiting, no headaches, no fever. Had one missed period this month, which is not normal for me as I am very regular. Pregancy is out of the question, as I am not sexually active. I want to know what could this be symptoms of. Thank you

	Answer by Dr. A. Srivastava (doctor) on Fri 20, Nov 2009 10:53am: Hi, Although I do not see that your symptoms could be related to complication of kidney removal, but needs medical evaluation. Other common possibilities could be hormonal imbalance, infection & cysts since you have missed your period as well as have abdominal cramps. Hope this helps.
