Hi,
I am glad that you have asked a question here and I will be happy to help.
Ibuprofen is a NSAID which is generally accepted as an alternative to Aspirin for pain. It is used in various
conditions with a dose range of 400-1200 mg per day.
Like other NSAIDS, there is a risk for the development of peptic disease, however, the dosage of 800 mg may be
considered ok if taken with precautions and under guidance of a doctor.
There may be other side effects of the drug including, diarrhea, epistaxis etc., which may not be dose
dependent.
I hope this answer helped. let me know if you may need more information.
