You recently answered a question I had regarding why the Meloxicam is taking so long to provide relief from the pain in my
joints. I am also wondering if the Levothyroxin or the Meloxicam could be the cause of the feverishness I have been feeling
since beginning the Levothyroxin. I have been having a real problem with sleeplessness due to a feeling of burning up. I
feel like I am radiating heat all over, and while it seems to be worst at night, it also occurs frequently during the day.
(I had a total hysterectomy at age 36, so I don't believe this is due to menopause.) This doesn't seem to be hot
flashes; it is a more constant, long-lasting heat. (Before starting the Levothyroxin,I used to feel chilled most of the time
because we keep our air conditioning set at 72 degrees). It has become almost impossible for me to remain in bed with my
husband because my skin gets so hot. I took my temperature during a recent episode, and it was normal. In addition to the
feeling of burning up, I also get itchy at night. The itching sensation is everywhere, from my head to my feet. I also seem
to be constantly thirsty, and can't seem to get enough to drink. Because I have been getting so little sleep, I have
had to resort to taking Equate Pain Reliever PM (Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine)to get some rest. I worry about mixing
two different anti-inflammatory medications, but sometimes it's the only way I can get any sleep at night. Do you have
any ideas about what could be causing this?
