My daughter has just turned 3 July 2nd and is due for her 3 year shots. Her medicaid hasn't gone through yet but will soon. She will be traveling this Monday to Rabat, Morocco and I wanted to know if she should have any vaccinations and have her shots or if she would be ok until she returns Sept. 15th. She has always been about 1.5-2 months late for her shots.

Hi, Vaccination in childhood is an important part of developing the child's immunity, especially in such cases where the child is being exposed to threats which are new. In my view the child should get the shots at the designated time, since she may need the strong support while on her trip in a foreign country. This also saves you from any expenses if the child gets unwell due any of these disorders. There should be no concern as to the child having been delayed for a couple of months in the past. However, you should try and correct her schedule going forward. You may contact us/her pediatrician for more information on specific vaccinations and their long-term effects. Best regards
