Accidentally i consumed about 10mg of Mercury but on checking with friends they told it will excreted from the body automatically but after two days to some mild suffocations i took a x-ray scan and the result shows as below,

1) Colonic Shadows are normal
2) Soft tissue shadows of kidneys and psoas sheath are defined
3) Multiple droplets of radio opaque shadows of various sizes and shapes in the KUB region
4) Transitional fifth lumbar spine seen
5) Metallic ingestion

Please advice me on the consequences and toxic effects of Mercury

Also advice e on the necessary precautions and mode of treatment to be taken

    Hi Mr.Anand, As you say that you just consumed 10 mg mercury then it is very unlikely to develop any of the symptoms in future. Good news is you haven’t developed any symptoms till now because of small amount of consumption and its half life is very short so it may be excreted nor evaporated after some time. Additionally, mercury poisoning always resulted due to long term continuous exposure of mercury so I don’t foresee any complication for the future. However, I would suggest you to consult this again with the doctor if you gradually develop any of the unusual symptoms.
