right jaw hurts and i cant chew on food and i am in alot of pain when i try to close my mouth

I woke up and now my right jaw is hurting and i cant chew without pain or when i bite down it hurts it sends a pain through out my head

Hi, Do you have any swelling and redness also? There can be a number of causes of jaw pain like TMJ, jaw cyst, dental caries, tooth ache, acute sinusitis and sometimes migraine. I would advise you to consult a dentist and undergo a complete dental exam.
