rash,hives and swelling

	Asked by Unregistered (Male; 44; 3 months ago had disc removed from his neck, and one fused in.; Relevant drugs:currently on methylprednidolone pack, and benadryl 25mg every 4-6 hrs ) on Sat 31, Jan 2009 05:11pm :
	my husband has a terrible rash/hives all over his body. the doctor put him on a steroid pack and benedryl. he has been on the medication for 3 days now with little relief. one day his eyes were all swelled and puffy, now that is gone, but his lips and neck are puffy, any thoughts?

The goal of treatment is to relieve symptoms while the condition goes away by itself. However, if his condition persists or difficulty of breathing occurs, have this evaluated further by your doctor.
