be ready to face a setting from which he had a traumatic experience with. The best judge of that is the
person himself or herself.
In your case, the fact that you had the panic attack means that you are still not ready to be back in that
setting. Another important question is, would you be ever ready to go back? This is a situation where you
need to have a lengthy discussion with your psychologist. Adjusting to the situation may take some time but
if the time never comes, then you might need to be assigned elsewhere.
Another aspect that can be discussed is the use of medications to lessen the panic attacks, and these can be
prescribed by a psychiatrist. You can inquire about having these medications before you go back to the work
setting.
