is it ok to have intercourse while in the process of passing a kidney stone

	I was just dx today with a kidney stone. My question is, is it ok to have intercourse even though I have not passed the stone yet?

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Mon 13, Oct 2008 06:10am: Hi, Thanks for writing in. Yes you can have intercourse even if you have not yet passed the stone. However since you have more chances to get UTI, it is important that you empty your bladder after intercourse. Take care!
