What is the "shelf life" of Trimix A injection URO ? The Rx label says approximately 90 days. Is it still good after that, and how long?

Answer by Dr Nirajana Wadikar   on Fri 11, Feb 2011 04:50am:

the drug consists of papaverin, PG and phentolamine, used just prior to intercourse. The active ingredients and gel may be carried by the patient at room temperature. The shelf life is long because the active ingredients are mixed only at time of use. It is not safe to use any drug beyond its expiry.
