i was 10 days late on my period and then i started. i have had very heavybleeding for 3 days and severe pain with dizziness. i have took pain medicineand nothing is helping at all. i am miserable and tired. what could be wrong?

	Answer by Dr. Harsh Abbott (doctor) on Fri 20, Nov 2009 06:31am: Hi, there can be several causes for heavy bleeding with pain but most frequent ones are like hormonal imbalance, fibroids and polyps, PID, stress, change in environment, certain medications like anti deprassants and IUD's. I suggest you to do your ultrasound and consult with your gynecologist these possibilities. Thanks.
