negative pregnancy tests but so many symptoms. can I still be pregnant?

	I am 18 days late and I have taken 3 home pregnacy tests and 1 blood test and all negative. I have many symptoms of pregnancy (tender breasts, nausea,constipation, fatigue, irritability, very bloated). Is it possible to be pregnant even after negative test results?

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Thu 24, Jul 2008 12:38am: Hi, How are you? The chances of pregnancy are very less if the home pregnancy test and blood HCG test are negative. Both these tests detect the presence of beta HCG in blood and urine which starts rising if there is pregnancy. I would suggest you to repeat the tests one more time after a few more days and see. Also please consult your OBGYN for the symptoms that you are experiencing. Do keep us posted!
