swollen area above penis on the left side

Asked by dvada (Male; 30; UNITED STATES ) on Sun 16, May 2010 11:19pm

I noticed the area just above my penis under the pubic hair to the left side is swollen. When feeling the area I feel a soft swelling about the size and shape of a smaller than normal egg. If I press on it I feels uncomfortable. I will likely see a doctor about this if it doesn't go away but would appreciate any suggestions as to what this may be.

Hello, Some possible conditions leading to lump in the groin could be hernia, cyst , lipoma and swollen lymph glands. These are relatively harmless conditions. Hernia is typically a soft bulge in one or both sides of the groin. However you need to wait until your visit to the doctor to rule out any other cause of the lump.
