Colorless bump in mouth

I have been smoking for bout a year now and started dipping recently for bout 2 to 3 months now. I have a colorless bump on the inside of my lip. it is small and hard, im concerned it may be cancer. my gum isn't red or white around the bump. can someone help me out with some information about it? thanks and much appreciated.

Hi, This bump could be a mucocele (more common on lower lip but can occur any where in mouth) which is transparent swelling due to obstruction/rupture of minor salivary glands. It may heal upon itself or rupture spontaneously to heal. Other possibilities could be fibroma (usually pink and hard to touch),granuloma (nearer to gums) and rarely any malignancy but to reach to diagnosis you need to get yourself examined by a dentist or physician.
