Hello,
Mirena birth control consists of a T-shaped polyethylene frame (T-body) with a steroid reservoir and a string
attached to it. It looks like you are having pelvic inflammatory disease(PID). Mirena is notorious for causing
pevic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the uterus, fallopian tubes or
ovaries. It occurs when bacteria move upward from a woman's vagina or cervix to her uterus or fallopian
tubes. Many organisms are responsible for PID,gonnorhea and Chlamydia being the commonest ones.
I sincerely advise you to consult a gynecologist and get cervical swabs and pelvic ultrasound done to find out
whether PID is responsible for your symptoms. In some cases, a laparoscopy may be necessary to confirm the
diagnosis.
Treatment will depend on the confirmation of the diagnosis.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.
