welts fever mouth blisters swelling

	large frog belly type clear sacks apear on lips and then disapear as fast as they come ( inside) has red hot welts come up on all parts of the body, have been to the e.r. and docs only feel good while taking pretizon pills after last one. the next day everything came back again. hope you can help me thanks

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Sat 03, Jan 2009 05:33am: Hi, Thanks for writing in. You seem to be suffering from hives or Urticaria. It is important to find out the predisposing factor. It can be a food product like shell fish, tomatoes, soya, chocolates etc or environmental like pollen, cat dander, medications like antibiotics like penicillin, sulfa drugs, and anticonvulasants. Treatment is by antihistamines, avoidance of allergen, steroids and epinephrine injection if the welts do not subside. Hope this answers your question!
