enlarged liver and elevated liver enzymes

	Asked by Unregistered (Female; 52; Possible stroke a few years ago, dizzy spells, blackouts or pass out, rapid heart beat, and depression.; Relevant drugs:Inderal cymbalta ) on Tue 28, Oct 2008 12:20pm
	Over the last few years I have had assortment of health problems with the latest being a elevated liver enzyme count, enlarged liver, pain in both hands, tremors in my lower jaw, and l. arm and hand, fatique, and dizziness. I am currently getting test done. Past history of dizziness, blackouts, and rapid heart beat.My doctor believes I had a possible stroke three years ago.I do not use drugs or alcohol.My doctor sayes that she is very puzzled about my care as the symptoms are allvery real but she can not so far find a cause for it all.Thank you for any suggestion you can give me.

	Answer by Dr.Rohit Agarwal (doctor) on Wed 12, Aug 2009 09:15am: Dear, Liver enlargement and enzyme elevation might be due to inflammation of liver, fatty liver, obstruction of out flow of blood from liver. Get your liver functional test done. If required get ultrasonography done too. Consult your gastroenterologist. Other problems are non specific and non significant. Continue inderal. There are reports that cymbalta causing hepatic failure. Consult your physician to replace it. Take care.
