Hello,
Epidural steroid injections are often employed to treat herniated disc and cervical stenosis causing pinched
nerves, but if there is any pain even after these injections, then it means that the condition has progressed
to such a level that a surgery may be required. This surgery can be a discectomy (spine surgery to remove a
herniated disc) or laminectomy, laminoplasty, or laminotomy. It depends on the severity of the condition and
the approach of the surgeon.
I would suggest that you consult a neurosurgeon/orthopedician and discuss these treatment options with him.
I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
