Menopause usually presents after age 40. If you are 30, it is unlikely that the missed period is a sign of
menopause.
When did you undergo the surgery for tubal ligation? Has there been any other factor that could have
contributed to an alteration in your periods?
If you suspect you could be pregnant (which is unlikely given the surgery for tubal ligation), you can take a
urine pregnancy test.
Stress can be a factor contributing to an alteration in the menstrual cycle. This may be emotional or
physical.
You will need to consult your OB/GYN for an evaluation and you would probably be advised to undergo an
ultrasound examination to evaluate the uterus.
