What is the illness - Stomac pain unde the ribcage and back on left side.

	My daughter is having stomach pains under her ribcage and her back on the left side but a ultrasound ruled out problems with spleen, kidney, bladder, gallbladder, pancreas and she also had a colon and a gastro and there was nothing wrong. She keeps having heat flashes and has alot of headaches. They ruled out mono, gallbladder attack, appendix.

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Tue 29, Jul 2008 07:18am: Hi, How are you? How old is your daughter? Sometimes hyperthyroidism can cause headache and hot flashes. Other cause is an ovarian cyst which can cause hot flashes and abdominal pain. I would suggest you to please consult an endocrinologist as soon as possible. Take care!
