Strep Thoat or Broncytus? Not sure on the spelling.

	I have drainage down the back of my throat, I am coughing all the time, and it feels like my chest is on fire. I looked at the back of my throat and it looks red with some red spots and looks like maybe a couple pus pockets also. What could it be and should I go to see a Dr. in person?

Red inflammation with pus pockets suggests bacterial infection. I advise you to take consultation with ENT surgeon for proper treatment. Hope my advice is helpful to you. Take care.

You are also complaining of burning pain in the chest and cough as well. This symptoms of your's are suggestive of Laryngopharyngeal reflux superseded by said Acute Bronchitis. The 24-hour dual sensor pH probe is considered by many to be the gold standard for diagnosing Laryngopharyngeal reflux. Kindly consult Your physician. A slight dietary modification such as avoidance of Caffiene, Alcohol, Chocolate etc. apart from Treatment of Acute bronchitis Hope this helps you. Take care and regards.
