	Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Tue 16, Sep 2008 08:09pm: Hello, Yes there are alternatives for conceiving a child without undergoing surgical methods of vasectome reversal. An alternative to a vasectomy reversal is to extract sperm from either your testicle or epididymis and directly inject it into an egg using an intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). This fertilised egg then needs to be implanted in the woman's womb.There are two methods of sperm extraction: Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA) and Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE).
