Red blotches

	I have broken out on my back,legs and arms with red blothes what can i take for this and they itch only at night

	Answer by Dr Rakesh C, MD (doctor) on Tue 06, May 2008 04:22am: Hi It is very difficult to arrive at a diagnosis without having a look at the lesions. Are they raised from the surface of skin, something like papules (pimples)? How long have they been present? Is there any scaling on the lesions? There could be many causes for these allergies or infection (fungal or viral). The treatment could be begun only once an appropriate diagnosis is made. Please consult e dermatologist. To get rid of the itching, an oral antihistaminic can be taken. Best..
