Hi,
About 2 weeks after the varicella injection, the recipient can develop a rash and low fever, similar to that
developed in a chicken pox infection but with much fewer vesicles.
Your daughter can be contagious to individuals who have not been immunized against chickenpox or have not had
chicken pox earlier.
It would be best to take her out of any social activity or contact sports that would result in physical
contact with other team members until the rash subsides and heals.
You can also use an emollient like cocoa butter to reduce the itching form the rash.
Do keep us posted on any further doubts in this regard.
