Passing bloody, mucous stool. Still having bouts of diaherria

	Asked by Unregistered (Male; 63; Being treated for depression, Plantar Fasciatis, and some mild arthritis. Have trouble sleeping at night hence the ambien cr.; Relevant drugs:Ambien cr, flexoril, Sertraline HCI, aspirin regimen. ) on Sat 14, Jun 2008 01:38pm :
	I had a colonoscopy 3 months ago and all was fine. I have been on flexaril for about 6 monhs. Last night after I ate dinner, I began to feel sick. Approx midnight began to have diaherria and much cramping and nausea. It is now almost 4pm and I still have small bouts of cramping and what appears to a bloody mucous discharge that is bright red. Is it possible I have a bleeding ulcer from being on the Flexoril. I also take an aspirin a day and am on 100mg of Sertraline HCI daily as well as an ambien cr at night. I just arrived home from a Flight from Des Moines to Virginia and immediately took some Pepto Bismol. Thank You

'Common side effects include drowsiness, depression, headaches, dizziness, and blurred vision. Other side effects are respiratory depression and decreased functionality in various muscles. Long term use has been associated with vision damage. Another side effect is dryness of the mouth. Agitation is a common side effect observed especially in the elderly.' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclobenzaprine Sertraline is known to cause diarrhea and microscopic colitis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sertraline You would need to consult your doctor to rule out parasitic infections, crohn's disease, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome etc as the cause of your symptoms. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/gastro/messages/35925.html Why was the colonoscopy done? This could be dysentery too - amoebic or bacillary. Liver infection, and subsequent amoebic abscesses can occur.'
