Pain when breathing in - pain in middle upper back and inside when breathing

I have pain in middle upper back and inside when breathing in have had this since yesterday The pain is traveling from back to side and is sharp pain when taking deep breath

Hello, The pain in upper back and which increases on taking a deep breath can be spinal or pelural in origin.I would suggest you to take some anti inflammatory pain killers like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac and apply warm compresses and consult a physician/orthopedician for confirmatory diagnosis.An x-ray chest or MRi spine may be needed to confirm the diagnosis.
