Intense burning around chin area, no visible signs,

	My daughter has been experiencing burning around her chin area for several months. Less frequently she will experience iching on her hands and will break out in hives on her face, hands, arms and chest area. She has been to an allergist and tested, she shows no allergies to anything. She is on allegra and has also tried Zyrtec. Could this be related to something else besides allergies? It seems to get worse when it rains, but it still bothersome when it is not raining? It is affecting her work because it is very intense.

The main causes of burning in the chin area are diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, sun burn, chemical burn, trauma and stroke. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Hives and itching seem to indicate urticaria. These symptoms do not seem to be related to the burning in the chin. Hives can occur in response to ingested or inhaled allergens which can be a food product or a medication or an environmental agent. In most of the cases however the exact cause of hives cannot be determined. http://dermatology.about.com/cs/hives/a/hivescause.htm Please go through the above mentioned link as it has an exhaustive list on the causes of hives. Some of the things that provide relief are ice packs, calamine lotion, milk of magnesia, aloe vera gel and drinking herbal tea. Hope this helps!
