I have a very sore little white bump on the inside of my right nostril on the bony part. Sometimes I try to pick or cut it off with toenail clippers and it always grows back. I also have a biger white bump in the inside of my toe next to my pinky toe. It also is very sore. I also sometimes pick it off and cut it, but it always grows back. The one in my nose started about two years ago and the other one on my foot started about a year ago. It is not a pimple or anything like that. You cant pop it. It just hurts especially when it rubs against my pinky toe. I am worried about it being cancer or something. I would like to get your opinion before I go to the doctors office.

Answer by Dr Rowena S, MD  on Sat 26, Jun 2010 08:25pm:

Hi, How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Try to avoid picking or cutting the bump with toenail clippers to avoid secondary infection. This could be a polyp or a cyst in your nose. The lesion in your toe may be caused by a wart or other skin conditions such as inflammation or infection. It is important that you have this evaluated for proper diagnosis. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and regards.

White lump in a nostril can be a polyp, cyst or a benign skin growth. If it is painful then it can be a boil or abscess.
