Last Tuesday I went to the emergency room for sharp pains in my lower right abdomen and vomiting, shakes and sweats.
Appendicitis was ruled out, and I was told that I had some fibroids in my uterus and an enlarged ovary and a few cysts on my
ovary, and was sent home with ibprofuen and vicidin. I went the following day to my obgyn who only looked at the ultrasound
done at the ER and told me that I have polycystic ovary syndrome and to just rest. Prior to all of this, I did have the
birth control Implanon placed in my arm on April 9th, started a period on May 9th, and I've been bleeding since then. I
advised the doctors of this and they saw no concern, I also advised that I've been bleeding heavily, have large blood
clots, and they advised me to tough it out for another month or so, and it should go away?!?! I am still having sharp pains
in my lower abdomen, I feel bloated all of the time, using the bathroom is a painful experience b/c it's uncomfortable,
I cannot sit upright for long periods of time without hurting, and yet my doctor refuses to follow up with me again until the
end of July. I'm bleeding A LOT, which is giving me cramps as well, and basically I'm feeling miserable with all
of this pain. What do you suggest? I'm missing a lot of work b/c I have a sit down job, and laying down seems to be
the only thing that makes me feel better.....Thanks
