Concerned with my menstral cycle which is 15 days late now. Pregnancy tests results were negative, what do I do..

	My mentral cycles usually varies between 28-31 days. The only time it was regulated was on the pill. I have had endometriosis which was removed last year. Before that the Dr. had found several cyst in my ovaries....one of these two or both have caused me a lot of pain/cramping, especially during intercourse. I am not on any birth control now since I did want to have a baby but have had no luck getting pregnant in 8 months. Now I am 15 days late. I took 2 tests and they were both negative. The day I was suppose to get it, I had black stool followed by diarreah for 2 days. Have had cramping on/off for 2 wks and tender breasts past 2 days. Also first wk I was suppose to get my period I had a bad pain on my left side. If the tests were negative, what could this be if I am ot stressed out? Could it be an ectopic pregnancy, misscarriage?

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Fri 18, Jul 2008 05:53am: Hi, Ectopic pregnancy mostly gives a positive result on home pregnancy test but sometimes it can also give a negative result. The possibility of ectopic cannot be ruled out. I think you need to undergo a complete examination to find out the exact cause of your symptoms.
