Can i get pregnant during my period?

	Hi my name is Escarlet..and my boyfriend and i had sex last weekend on sat night and he came inside of me and two days later on Monday morning i got my period..and my question is.. Do i still get pregnant during my period?

	Answer by Dr Bobby V, MD (doctor) on Sat 26, Apr 2008 02:52pm: Hi Escarlet, There have been isolated case reports of pregnancy resulting from sexual contact on any one day of the menstrual cycle. So, is it possible that you are pregnant: Yes, it is theoretically possible. The bleeding that followed may not be menstrual bleeding. In early pregnancy, some spotting is common. Is is likely that you are pregnant? No, it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant, especially if you got your periods on the expected day, and if the nature/pattern of flow was similar to your earlier periods. You can easily confirm this using a do-it-yourself urine pregnancy test at home. I suggest that you educate yourself about sexual health, contraception, and sexually transmitted diseases. I have swallowed enough antibiotics and still it comes back and i have been trying to get pregnant again and its not coming. What do i do,i need help.
