Hello, I have very bad bone pain everyday. I am 22 I have told my doctor but they said probably nothing wrong with me. I stopped eating gluten 5 years ago as i was diagnosed with being allergic to gluten. I still have bone pain and its getting worse. I dont like asking my doctor as they always say the same to me. I dont think it is normal for a healthy 22 year old to have so much pain and feel tired and have very bad headaches all day long. I have never woken up without a headache or had a day without one. I eat lots of fruit and veg and drink lots of water. Could you please give me some advice :) It would be very much appreciated. Kindest regards Ayhsia

Hi there. All of these 'bone' pains that you are experiencing, the headaches and the tired feeling, with the background of 'normal' physician findings, may all be part of a pain syndrome like fibromyalgia. This is characterized by certain tender points in the body, like the occipital area, trapezius muscle, elbow prominences, pelvic bones, etc. The exact cause of this pain syndrome is not yet fully elucidated but it has something to do with inadequate tissue recovery brought about by lack of restorative sleep. This in turn is caused by some form of anxiety or mild depression, as well as stress. Treatment will start from lowering stress and anxiety levels as well as inducing a restorative form of sleep which is also possible through some form of antidepressant therapy. Standard pain medications such as acetaminophen may also help in lowering the pain. I suggest you discuss this entity specifically with your doctors when you meet with them, and possibly ask about treating along this line. Regards and God bless.
