24 weeks pregnant, sharp pain on right side of navel

	I have a sharp pain on the right side of my navel and I am 24 weeks pregnant, am I or the baby in any danger?

	Answer by Dr Noopur S, MD (doctor) on Tue 22, Jul 2008 06:17am: Hi, Is it a continuous pain or an intermittent one? This pain could be because of gas. This occurs commonly in latter half of pregnancy when the pregnant uterus pushes the stomach upwards. Although it is very difficult to pin point the exact cause without examination. I would suggest you to consult your OBGYN as soon as possible even if it is over the phone. Do keep us posted!
